Sponsorship

CountryLink Inland Tourism Awards 2010, Temora Aviation MuseumRailCorp is committed to supporting causes that benefit the wider community. One of the ways we do this is by providing financial and in-kind sponsorship to a limited number of public, private and charitable organisations and events.

In some cases, we may also seek sponsorship from the private sector to support our rail safety, employee health and other community programs. 

Applying for sponsorship from RailCorp 

All requests for sponsorship are assessed on the basis of the benefits to:

  • the RailCorp, CityRail or CountryLink brand
  • our strategic objectives, such as rail safety and patronage growth
  • the communities in which we operate.

Assessment criteria 

Applications for sponsorship must:

  • demonstrate how the organisation or event aligns to RailCorp’s objectives
  • detail how the sponsorship will be used
  • outline associated benefits for the communities we serve and/or our staff.

We assess applications against a number of criteria, including:

  • alignment to RailCorp objectives and values
  • compliance with the RailCorp Code of Conduct
  • reputation of the applicant
  • potential impact on RailCorp’s reputation
  • actual, potential and perceived conflicts of interest
  • availability of exclusive naming rights
  • environmental, social and economic responsibility
  • quality and safety of associated products and services
  • return on investment for RailCorp.

We will not approve sponsorship requests:

  • where the applicant is of poor repute
  • for activities that promote a particular political or religious opinion
  • for activities that discriminate on the basis of sex, pregnancy, race, age, marital or domestic status, homosexuality, disability, transgender status or carers’ responsibilities.

Application process

Submit your application using the Application for sponsorship form (340KB PDF) by post, e-mail or fax.

We will normally let you know the outcome within four weeks. Some larger sponsorship requests may take longer to process – we’ll let you know if this is the case within four weeks of receiving your application.

Requests for sponsorship of an event must be submitted at least three months before the event’s start date.
