Engineering Scholarships

Engineering cadetsThe aim of the Engineering Scholarship program is to accelerate the focus of undergraduates towards Engineering at RailCorp by offering three year Scholarship Programs.

RailCorp will be offering Scholarships to students in their second year of university studying an Engineering degree with an interest in pursuing a career in the following disciplines: Civil, Computer Systems/Science, Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Signalling, Software, Surveying and Telecommunications.

Who we want

To apply for RailCorp's Engineering Scholarship Program, it is a requirement to satisfy the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled full-time in the second year of a degree, studying a relevant engineering discipline
  • Currently have a credit average or higher which must be maintained for the duration of the Scholarship Program
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia
  • Be available to work full time during university holidays

RailCorp's Engineering Scholarships are available to students currently studying engineering degrees in the following disciplines:

  • Civil
  • Computer Systems/Science
  • Electrical
  • Environmental
  • Mechanical
  • Mechatronics
  • Software
  • Surveying
  • Signalling
  • Telecommunications

What we offer

RailCorp sponsors your studies through reimbursement of your 2nd, 3rd and 4th year HECS directly to the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and offers you paid work experience throughout your time at university.

Any eligible compulsory employer superannuation contributions up to 9% will also be paid by RailCorp.

  • Work in a large and complex transport corporation
  • Receive ongoing career development.

Upon successful completion of the degree and strong performance as part of the work experience, scholars will be offered the opportunity to join the RailCorp Graduate Program.
