The safety Risk Division is a multi-disciplined team of safety, risk and human factor professionals providing specialist services and support to operational and project management within the Corporation. RailCorp are now seeking to build upon the success of this team through the recruitment of a significant number of additional professionals.
Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate a strong background in the related professional discipline, to possess an ability to think strategically, have strong consultation and influencing skills. These competencies will enable the candidates to successfully promote effective risk based decision-making and to achieve enhanced safety outcomes within operational and project environments within RailCorp.
Senior Safety Risk Adviser
The Senior Safety Risk Adviser provides expert-level consulting and support services for safety risk and / or safety change management within the operational and project environments of RailCorp.
This position provides the opportunity to actively contribute to the acquisition, dissemination and leverage of safety risk knowledge through the facilitation and direction of the full range of operational / safety risk assessment activities, the conduct of independent verification activities, the review and / or development of safety change documentation and through the delivery of guided learning, mentoring and peer support functions.
You will need to demonstrate (at least) 7 years professional experience and diverse knowledge of safety management generally and more specifically, safety and / or operational risk management gained at a senior level within or as a consultant to, an organisation operating in a complex, high reliability environment.

Senior System Safety Specialists
Senior System Safety Specialists provide specialist safety risk, safety change and safety assurance capability for high value capital projects that are supported by and integrated with the overall activities of the Safety Risk team. These positions also facilitate the provision of OH&S and human factors support capability that may be sourced from the wider competencies within the Safety Risk team or from external specialist sources.
These positions provide the opportunity to actively contribute to the success of major capital works projects and materially contribute to the delivery of new, improved capital assets for the use of RailCorp and the benefit of all users of the NSW rail system.
You will need to demonstrate (at least) 5 years professional experience and diverse knowledge of safety risk management, safety change (safety cases) and safety assurance gained at a senior level within or as a consultant to, an organisation operating in a complex, high reliability environment.

Senior Human Factors Specialists
Senior Human Factors Specialists provide specialist human factors capability to high value capital projects, including the consideration of human performance and limitations in the context of the assigned project. These positions also provide specialist input into human factors related training programs, competency standards and the development of operational procedures.
These positions provide the opportunity to actively contribute to the success of major capital works projects and materially contribute to the delivery of new, improved capital assets for the use of RailCorp and the benefit of all users of the NSW rail system.
