RailCorp’s Future Leaders graduate program offers a diverse range of opportunities to allow graduates to immediately contribute to the organisation.

Opportunities are available for graduates with degrees in various disciplines including, but not limited to the following:

How the program works

RailCorp’s Future Leaders graduate program is designed to develop potential future leaders for the organisation.

The three-year program will see you work across core areas of the business where you will build managerial and leadership skills while gaining in-depth rail operational knowledge. This will be achieved through:

  • a customised three year career development and training plan including project management and personal development training
  • strategic rotation and project based program to gain on-the-job knowledge, skills and experience
  • a project focus on change management, critical safety initiatives, continuous improvement and improving rail passenger services to the community, and
  • mentoring and budding.

You will be employed under a temporary three-year contract at a starting salary of $51,969.

RailCorp is seeking graduates who possess strong conceptual and analytical skills, well developed interpersonal and teamwork skills and have a passion for instilling change and continuous improvement.

What do I need to be eligible to apply?

To apply to join RailCorp’s graduate program applicants must satisfy the following criteria:

  • successful completion of a relevant degree prior to commencement of the program
  • graduates with overseas qualifications must demonstrate that their degrees have been officially recognised by an Australian university, and
  • all applicants must be eligible to work in Australia.

How many graduates will RailCorp take on the program?

RailCorp is seeking approximately 12 graduates for the Future Leaders program.

When does the graduate program start?

The graduate program will begin in January 2009.
