Telecommunications Maintain and repair radio, telecommunications and train control systems |

Electrical RailCorp offers electrical apprenticeships across three areas of specialisation: signals, substation distribution and rolling stock |

Rail overhead line worker Construct and maintain high voltage transmission lines, 1500-volt overhead rail-traction wiring and associated equipment |

Cable jointer Make and repair joints in insulated power supply and control cables |

Fitter Maintain train pneumatic braking systems, pneumatic doors, direct and hydraulic drive systems, and diesel engines |
 |
Plant mechanic Maintain heavy on-track machinery including track and point regulators, and overhead wiring machines |
