Major projects

Each weekday the NSW rail network supports over 900,000 passenger journeys and 190,000 tonnes of freight movements. To accommodate future growth in passenger and freight traffic, RailCorp, the Transport Construction Authority and other agencies are working on several large expansion projects.

Recently completed projects include:

• Chatswood Transport Interchange
• North Sydney Station Upgrade
