Sandstone brilliance

The sandstone Mortuary Station with its landmark spire and dome, served the funeral train service between Sydney and Rookwood from 1867 to 1948.

Throughout the celebration weekend visitors to the station learned about its history, enjoyed light refreshments and took rides on a historic rail motor car.
