Rail Clearways
A $1.5 billion project spanning six years, Rail Clearways is an initiative designed to improve the capacity and reliability of CityRail's suburban network. Fifteen key projects will divide the current 14 routes into five clearways which will operate independently.  Due for completion in 2010, the Rail Clearways project will prevent an incident on one part of the network affecting services on another clearway.
